Half Square Triangle Quilt

I learned to do half square triangles and it’s sooooo easy to make this quilt. Well, if you have a good sewing machine. The sewing machines I have are like over 50 years old and never been serviced, so I had to wind my bobbins by hand. Ugh. Well, at least the sewn stitches are straight. Thanks to Linda Warren for making this easy to follow video (click here)!

Here are some progress shots of my first HST quilt:

Placing them in the pattern I liked. It has a few missing solid ivory squares, but you get the idea. I can’t wait to sew this all together!

Oooh! I couldn’t stop. I wanted to cut up and use my Amy Butler fabric. So here is the top, completed, but not quilted yet:

    Hahahaah! Yes, the quilt fever has begun. I’ve already decided what my next fabric purchases will be: more Amy Butler!
