Die Cut Dragonflies

I envisioned a dragonfly cut from translucent paper to allow light to pass through the wings. The wings are supported by a base to give it varying heights. The body is glued on top and the tail is slight curved, which hubby assures me is more realistic (he knows from catching enough of them). I wonder if it would make a nice mobile or wall art – fragile though.

I think these are super gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! I really love the simplicity and delicate look of the body and tail. Superb work, Cece!! What is the size? Looks like a good, large size!

How pretty! I always wondered about the curved tail… so often I see a dramatic curve in quilled dragonfly designs, but never thought to google an image of one to see whether they curve in ‘real life’. Just did and yes, they do indeed curve downward.
